ContextBlur is a privacy tool for professionals who share their screens. We help people hide sensitive information during video calls, demos, and recordings — with one click.
Why We Built This
Screen sharing is the most common way professionals accidentally expose confidential data. A 2023 Tessian survey found that 52% of employees have shared sensitive information during virtual meetings. Slack DMs appear. Salary columns are visible. Client names flash on screen. API keys sit in browser tabs.
Video conferencing tools like Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams have no built-in way to blur specific parts of your screen. You can share a window or your entire desktop — but you cannot hide the salary column in that spreadsheet or the client name in your CRM.

We believe a privacy tool should not create new privacy risks. ContextBlur processes everything locally in your browser. It makes zero network requests. There is no analytics, no tracking, no telemetry, and no server.
